Want to get lots of photos on a layout?  Want an interesting layout that has interactive elements that can be lifted, pulled or opened to reveal hidden areas? In this month’s class, we will create a double layout with space for 24 photos.  It has plenty of “openable” areas to showcase all your favourite photos.  This month I have the beautiful “Birdsong” range from Mintay Papers. Take away kits with full emailed instructions are available.

Celebrate the roaring 20’s this month by creating a “Perfume Box”. This box is large enough to hold a mini album You will use the new collection “Celebration” by Maja Design. Lots of assembling with chipboard to this piece. Distressing, inking to give that aged effect and some pearl trim to add a classic touch.

Do you have the courage to leap into pattern making without the end result in sight? Come along and I’ll share my pattern taming techniques to help you create a page that you love. This is a technique that you will return to many times. We will start the class with a play session using our Gel Press plates and then I’ll guide you through calming the myriad of patterns into wonderfully, drippy shapes. Then we will doodle our shapes and finish the page with a quote. If you already art journal – bring along your usual kit, if not check the requirements list for a guide on what to bring. You will need an approx. A4 sized journal to begin with – please check in store for details. We would love to know where you are at with mixed media so let Deb know when you book in – absolute beginners are very welcome but the more experienced will find something to challenge them in each class.

This will be a 3-hour workshop creating 6 cards depicting the beautiful era of pretty frocks, cloche hats, tea dances with feathers, bows & beads.
Using Maya range of papers & images these lovely cards are sure to delight with their shades of dusty pink, cornflower blue & nutmeg brown.

Please come join me for my April class to make a beautiful and delicate layout using the Prima Love Story collection. In this class you will use a variety of Prima mediums including the gorgeous Sparks paints and Opal Magic waxes. Along with lots of Prima flowers and 2Crafty chipboard. Takeaway kits with instructions are available.

For this project I have a 6x6 ?ip mini album using the beautiful papers Celebration by Mintay. This is a pretty little album that beginners and advanced would enjoy, it's a perfect little gift for All occasions. I have a short video of this project to entice!

In this project we will make a parchment gift box for one of the beautiful soaps from Bella Paperie. You can choose either the flower design or the butterfly design to make in class, but will be provided with both patterns. Skills include embossing, using an edge perforating tool and cutting.
Acknowledgement: I have modified the original butterfly pattern from an unknown source, and created the flower design to fit the basic pattern.

Join Robyn for a beginner watercolour class featuring galaxies and moons. This subject is perfect for the beginner or one who wishes to stretch their watercolour practice with different techniques. To complement the watercolour techniques, Robyn will also be teaching how to fold a simple, folded maze book that can be used to showcase your watercolour samples. During class, we will be focussing on brush control, wet in wet and creating textures. The more experienced at watercolour are sure to learn something new and Robyn will have a challenge for you if you are game!

In this class you will be making a full paper collaged background mixed media project. Using stencilling techniques for a girl’s face, adding Ink Sprays, India Ink, Texture stencils and splattering layers to create an interesting background. Simple painted rose technique. I will be supplying background papers, lunch wrap, stencils, stamps, palette knives and paintbrushes to use but students may bring their own choice of script papers and other items including paintbrushes if preferred.

The Earth laughs in flowers… ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson. This is one of my favourite quotes and one that springs to mind whenever I see beautiful bunches of flowers or joyfully planted gardens. Why not put some happiness into your art journal with this abstract floral page? This class will start with a textured page based on printed paper napkins and then we will build a beautiful bunch of flowers on top that will be wonderfully touchable. If you did a similar class with me previously, the techniques used for this one are quite different.
