Join Patricia for this week's Bella Style Wednesday where you will be making a beautiful gift box (measuring 7cm square) using “A la rose” paper from the Julie Nutting Collection for the base and we will emboss a rose on vellum to decorate the lid. areas? In this month’s class, we will create a double layout with space for 11 full sized photos and 11 smaller photos. It has plenty of “openable” areas to showcase
all your favourite photos. This month I have used papers
from the Captured Adventures range from 49 & Market. Take away kits with full emailed instructions are available.

This project is a romantic
styled mixed media collage made on 30cm x 40 cm Watercolour Paper which can
then be framed OR you may prefer to choose canvas as your substrate.
Either will work well. Whatever background you choose, your collaged girl
print will be supplied as well as papers for the background. We will be making
Gelli prints for our paper roses, so bring your Gelli Plate along or use
the one provided in the class. Some ink spray, stenciling and texture elements
will be taught to compliment your project. To Finish your mixed media girl
bring along your personal stash of lace motifs, beads, pearls, buttons -
anything goes for our final lace embellishment collage! Beginners to
advanced will enjoy assembling this piece!

Make this delicate Thank
You card suitable for many occasions. This is traditional white work on
parchment. The fine detail is achieved using a mapping pen and ink to outline
the design and various embossing techniques. Flower centres can be highlighted
using kindy glitz or liquid pearls. Card can be finished with a picot edge or
straight edge. It is essential to have a mapping pen and ink to complete this
design. Both are available at Bella Paperie.

I came across a quote
recently, ‘raindrops are fairy whispers’ and I loved the imagery it conjured
for a journal page.
This class will use
similar techniques to the class run in April but I’ll be changing it up a
little to keep you inspired. We will start the class with a play session using
our Gel Press plates and then I’ll guide you through calming the myriad of
patterns into shapes. Then we will doodle our shapes to finish the page.
I hope you will join me in
this leap into pattern making without the end result in sight? Come along and
I’ll share my pattern taming techniques to help you create a page that you
love. These techniques are ones you will return to many times.
