We welcome international designer for Stamperia,
Antonis Tzanidakis to our store for a series of creative workshops in August.
There will be a daytime and evening class on both Friday and Saturday and
continue with a daytime session on Sunday. Stay for just one or book in for all
five!
Antonis will be providing most of the materials
required, including substrates, paints, embellishments and other media so only
the following supplies will be needed.

Apr 17: Music of Steampunk
Friday August 23rd 2019 10.00am – 4.30pm
MUSIC OF STEAMPUNK $130
In this class you will use pages from a book to create a
guitar and then incorporate Antonis’ new collection of products together with
stone paper, clay, stencils and stamps plus learn new techniques with painting
and crackle paste to create this project.

wall with a wooden effect roof.

creating a 3D clock and mechanism. He will share lots of scrapbooking

Using two chipboard kits from Dusty Attic, Antonis will
guide you through creating this panel incorporating a variety of techniques and
mediums including decoupage with different rice papers, creating a leather
effect, using stencils and transparent crackle paste.

We have a repeat of this gorgeous class from March, this time on a week day. A Mixed Media project on a canvas background. Lots of texture is created using the Stamperia crackle paste & modelling paste. Cream acrylic paint & a mixture of spray colours adds sparkle & shimmer. Our Rice Paper mannequin is highlighted with glossy accents then has a gown designed with dress pattern tissue.

Want to get lots of photos on a layout? Want an interesting layout that has interactive elements that can be lifted, pulled or opened to reveal hidden areas? In this month’s class, we will create a double layout with space for 37 photos. It has plenty of “openable” areas to showcase all your favourite photos. This month I have used papers from the Marry Me range from Mintay. Take away kits with full emailed instructions are available.

Please come join me to make a vintage floral layout using the stunning Life Stories collection from Mintay. This layout involves a lot of fussy cutting , I know you all love it! These image sheets are amazing and I love them so much, makes lots of great embellishments to layer up. In this class you'll create a chunky 3D layout that is embellished with lots of lovely flowers, feathers, chipboard, metal trinkets as well as all the fussy cut elements. Take-away kits with instructions are available

The use of stamped images in your art journal opens up a whole world of possibility in terms of imagery and techniques but they can be tricky to include. Join Robyn as she shares a couple of favourite techniques that will get you stamping into your journal with confidence. If you already art journal – bring along your usual kit, if not check the requirements list for a guide on what to bring. You will need an approx. A4 sized journal to begin with – please check in store for details. We would love to know where you are at with mixed media so let Deb know when you book in – absolute beginners are very welcome but the more experienced will find something to challenge them in each class.

In this class Debra will teach you how to make a junk journal from scratch, using an old hard cover book, scrapbook papers and lots of vintage elements. Debra will show you lots of techniques including how to sew in your signatures to create your book, make tags using Tim Holtz Distress Oxides inks and create envelopes, belly bands & tuck spots using a mini envelope punch board. You will go home with a completed junk journal consisting of over 50 pages and lots of elements to use for journaling. If you want to try something different, then this class is for you.

In this class we will make 2 canvas panels, both 8x8 inches. For the first one we will think outside the box when using our masks and learn how to love our handwriting. I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone with this one and used bright colours, will it push you out of your comfort zone? The second panel will be very dimensional. Using a Stamperia mould, Tim Holtz paper dolls, cogs, metals and distress oxides we will create a quirky art piece. Although there will be some common elements on everyone’s canvas, each one will be individualised with different quotes and paper dolls. Come along and explore your creativity.
