Oct 10: Home for Christmas Cards with Anita

Oct 10: Christmas Dome with Sue Smyth

Join Sue to create a wonderful Christmas keepsake, an elegant glass dome covers a billboard style project, decorated like a faux house, complete with snow bedecked windows and a sweet front door. Inside you can fill it with photos, cut out images, or even small figurines to create a Christmas diorama. We will play with our own snow recipe, create snow icicles and snowflakes and add sparkle with waxes and inka gold. Plenty of room to add your own personal stamp on this festive project.

Travel through time with this Voyagers Journal, featuring a toy compass and resin wings. We play with Art alchemy Cire Cera waxes in vibrant and clear colours, learn how to add texture, cluster elements around the compass and blend it into the cover with seed beads and rhinestones. This is a must do for the mixed media fan, with some truly quirky techniques built into the project
Oct 10: Junk Journaling With Debra

Join Debra for six hours of junk journaling. This is a great class if you have been junk journaling for a while and want to get past the basics. This class will be more free-form than usual with a variety of pockets, tuck spots, belly bands, snippets, matchbooks and envelopes taught for inclusion in your junk journal. I will teach you how to make and sew one signature, but we will not be creating the actual book on the day so if you have a junk journal you are working on please bring it. Your kit will include items to make the various methods that will be taught throughout the day with the rest of the time spent working in your junk journal. We will use stamps, inks, stencils and a variety of mixed mediums to create our own ephemera. The results would be great to use in an “ideas” book. There is no sample for this class, but I have left a number of junk journal samples at the shop for viewing.

My favourite time of the year is upon us!!!! This month create a gorgeous mini album using Maja Design Christmas Season collection. So many pockets and tags for all those Christmas memories. You could even use it to keep your favourite Christmas recipes in. The front cover is stunningly decorated with lots of embellishments such as flowers, pine cones, berries, and what’s Christmas without snow and lots of glitter.... look forward to having some creative fun.

I was asked if I could do a repeat class of an Advent Calendar that I done a couple of years ago. (How time flies!!!) This time I have used the new collection from ScrapBoys. The colours are soft and dreamy, the name of the collection is so appropriate “Cotton Winter”. A beautiful piece that can be used year after year. You will make from scratch the album and the little advent boxes. Decorating the front with one of the Tim Holtz half trees and lots of fussy cutting. Finish the project with some glistening snow. I hope you can join me for some Christmas fun

For this month’s class we are creating 10 Christmas cards using one of Stamperia's newest released paper collections called "Wish Upon A Star". You will receive in this class a whole 12 page, double sided paper pad and I will show you how you can create another 10 cards using the papers left over from class.
Oct 10: Parchment Craft with Patricia

There are four parchment windows which can be made as the same design, alternating designs or four different designs. I have made alternating designs – one that uses embossing and another involving grid work. Several different designs will be available, or you can design your own. I have used glitter card in red, but you can choose your preferred colour of card from the great range at Bella. An LED tea light will be provided in your kit – either traditional or colour changing. Your kit contains vellum, card stock (your choice of colour) and tea lights – enough to make two tea lights. You will make one in class time
