Want to get lots of photos
on a layout? Want an interesting layout
that has interactive elements that can be lifted, pulled or opened to reveal
hidden areas? In this month’s class, we will create a double layout with space
for 21 photos. It has plenty of
“openable” areas to showcase all your favourite photos. This month I have used papers from the Seaside
Serenity range from Studio 73. Take away
kits with full emailed instructions are available.

It is so good to be back with you teaching art journal classes again! In order to keep everyone safe I will not be sharing supplies and tools as I have in the past. Instead, I will give you details of stamps, stencils etc that have been used to create the project within the Class Requirements list and provide you with stamped images to work on in class. Sharing of supplies during class is also discouraged. As usual, you are welcome to substitute images, colours etc from your stash as you like and if you don’t have the exact listed supply, just bring along the closest you have. Of course, Bella Paperie is fully stocked with all your needs so come a little early if you need to shop before class.
We have also moved these classes to Saturday to enable easy use of the classroom next door. Please remember this when booking in.
Butterfly Dreaming combines my love of flowers, colouring and butterflies! It is a pretty, girly page that is fun to creat. Come along and I’ll share some interesting stenciling techniques and a nice and easy technique for colouring a bunch of images in super quick time.
We will continue to work in the smaller journal size, the Art by Marlene journals with removable pages are perfect. This class will also work in the A5 Dylusions journals or across a single page in a larger journal.
Don’t forget to let us know if you are a beginner when you book – you are absolutely welcome, but it means I set aside time at the beginning to support you in product choices & information.

Studio 73 released these gorgeous papers “Timekeeper” collection and I knew I had to create an album with them. Not your typical shape as you can see the edge of the next page. One of the pages you will create a “shaker” feature! Lots of beautiful images for fussy cutting.
You can add so many embellishments to really make it your own whether that be flowers, trims, metal or chipboard cogs.

Mixed Media featuring painted deer with paper layered background and textured archway. A whimsical theme to play and explore your childhood "happily ever after" suitable for art journal or canvas.

This Hearts and Flowers card has a double layer on the front of the card. This involves perforating and cutting around half of the heart shape. A sun tool and 4 needle tool are used to provide fine detail in the background design. Acknowledgement: I am unsure of who the original designer is of this card.
